About Nomensa's Site

Demonstrating a Visual and Accessible Design

Our site is special. It has been designed with our target users in mind and is totally accessible and usable. We have created a web site that is creative, totally state-of-the-art and designed to be accessible for the widest possible audience - regardless of ability. Our new site is triple A and complies with the most recent guidelines from the Web Accessibility Initiative and the Disability Discrimination Act. Our new site does not use tables for layout, which helps to make it more accessible.

W3C - Validation Service

This web site is built using code compliant with W3C standards for XHTML and Cascading Style Sheets. The site displays correctly with current browsers, and using standard XHTML code means that any future browsers will also display this web site correctly.

The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 1.0 explain how to make Web content accessible to people with disabilities. Conformance to these Guidelines will help make the Web more accessible to users with disabilities and will benefit all users.

Bobby Approved

Bobby is a Web-based tool that analyses Web pages for their accessibility to people with disabilities. Many people with disabilities use special Web browsers, such as one that reads text out loud using a speech synthesizer for blind users. The suggestions made by Bobby help authors to add information to a Web page which will help the special browsers work more effectively. This web site passes the Bobby test.
Bobby Validation Page

We believe that there is no better example in the UK of a site designed by a competitor in the usability, accessibility or New Media market space, and if there is we would like to know about it. Our intention is to help promote the need for more accessible and usable technology that has been designed around human behaviour - regardless of ability.

If you do find an error with the site please email our webmaster and we will do our best to correct the error.

Nomensa is currently building a number of totally usable and accessible web sites that will all achieve WAI triple A compliance and are tested to satisfy customer needs.
