Using the Nomensa Web Site

Our web site has been designed to be easy to use with a screen reader, and for the text to be easily re-sized. In addition, there is a function to change the layout and colour scheme.

Changing Layout

The layout can be changed from the standard three column layout to a 'zoomed' single column layout. As this is primarily aimed at people with moderate visual impairments, these layouts use an increased font size. One has dark text on a light background, one has light text on a dark background. The icons to do this are on every page.

Multi-media Elements

We have provided descriptions of multi-media elements that contribute to the content of the web page. By selecting the "Description link" the user will reach a description of the element.

At the end of the description the user can select "Return" to be taken back to the original page.

Re-sizable Text

To aid users whose eye sight is less than perfect, we have enabled the text on this site to scale. You can scale the text by selecting "View" from the browser's menu, and then adjust the "Text Size" or "Text Zoom".
